Safety

Occupational Hygiene and Safety Section on campus coordinates the programs for evaluating, controlling, or eliminating both health and safety hazards in the workplace. Included in the activities of this section are:

• Conducts investigations of employee accidents as they relate to physical facilities, equipment, and the employee
• Assists in the specification, design, testing and evaluation of engineered safety devices and controls.
• Performs Audits covering diverse occupational exposures.
• Participates in the design phase of renovations and new building construction.
